AUBURN/OPELIKA Resources

Lee County District Attorney’s Office

Lee County District Attorney’s Office recently published an online brochure of Victim Resources that can be found in Lee County, Alabama as of March 2023. These resources include emergency hotlines and victim’s assistance; medical assistance; rent, utility, and hotel voucher assistance; local shelters; grocery assistance; clothing assistance and thrift stores; elder care; transportations; legal; and education, job training, and readiness programs. 

Auburn University Psychological Services Center

Auburn University Psychological Services Center provides psychological services for the Auburn community on a sliding fee scale. AUPSC offers individual, couples, and family therapy services for a range of psychological difficulties and concerns, including trauma, disordered eating, and alcohol use. â€‹

Auburn University Student Counseling and Psychological Services

Auburn University Student Counseling and Psychological Services offers time-limited individual and group counseling and psychiatric services to Auburn University’s undergraduate and graduate student communities. The SCPS provides all currently enrolled AU students with 1 to 10 sessions of individual therapy per academic year, group therapy options (no session limits), workshops, and drop-in groups free-of-charge.​

Auburn Cares

Auburn Cares works collaboratively with students to identify resources and develop personal action plans in response to challenging and complex situations and emotional difficulties. Auburn Cares assesses the needs of students experiencing a crisis/emergency, physical and mental health concerns, financial difficulties, and food insecurity and helps students connect with campus or community resources. Students can self-refer to connect with services.​

AU Safe Harbor

Auburn University Safe Harbor offers confidential support for Auburn students, staff, and faculty who have experienced sexual or relationship violence as well as their friends and family. Safe Harbor’s services include crisis intervention and safety planning, information about rights and reporting options, medical accompaniment and advocacy, academic assistance and accommodations requests, Title IX investigation support and accompaniment, accompaniment to meetings with law enforcement, and referrals to campus and community resources.
